I just finished installing Xfree86 on my new iBook. The installation was pretty straightforward, and after digging up some precompiled library packages, it actually works. I've since installed enlightenment and the GIMP. Screw Photoshop. Now if only there were an open source DV editor that would replace Final Cut or Avid Express...

Performance wise, the draws on X are a bit slow when using the default manager, but after installing enlightenment, things are much more usable, though still slower than it would be on a fresh install of BSD.

Things are looking good so far.

I've just finished reading a hilarious story at http://tuckermax.com/Stories/shooters.htm. The story features tons of redneck antics and drunken college action, niether of which impress, but do humor to say the least. It kinda reminds me of home. Rednecks tossing crap out of windows at me, or little kids spiting on me as I ride by houses in Cumberland on my motor scooter...

Well, you'de probably spit on me to...
